Can BMW EVs use Tesla Superchargers?
Yes. BMW vehicles have official access to Superchargers open to non-Tesla EVs since December 10, 2025. i4, i5, i7, iX from 2025-12-10 after a remote software update; 2026 iX and 2026 i5 xDrive40 were enabled in Q2 2026 (hardware differences).
Adapter: Lectron Vortex Plus (BMW-approved) / BMW NACS DC Adapter ($175). At launch BMW pointed owners to the Lectron Vortex Plus (about $175) via a myBMW link; BMW-branded adapter sold as an accessory from Q2 2026 (price not published). Not free. Details
