Where can my 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 charge at Tesla Superchargers?
Yes. Hyundai vehicles have had official Supercharger access since March 2025. You charge at any Supercharger marked “open to non-Tesla” using the Tesla app.
The 2025 Ioniq 5 has a built-in NACS port, so no adapter is needed. Plug in, open the Tesla app, pick the stall, and start.
At the stall: the 2025 charge port is passenger-side rear. Expect about 126 kW at a V3 stall, well under the car's 257 kW peak, because the 800 V pack has to boost from 400 V. V4 sites rated above 250 kW remove that limit. Back in and prefer an end stall (cable comes from the post to your right). 800 V: Hyundai caps V3 at about 125 kW; Out of Spec saw a flat ~120-126 kW curve, still about 30 min 10-80%.
How to charge: download the Tesla app, choose “Charge Your Non-Tesla”, add a payment card, pick the site and stall number, plug in, then tap Start. Older V2 Superchargers (grey on the map) only work with Teslas.
- Refreshed, US-built 2025 Ioniq 5 was the first non-Tesla with a factory NACS port; includes a free CCS1 adapter.
- E-GMP cars (Ioniq 5/6/9, 5 N) are 800 V-class. On V3/V3+ (400 V) stalls they hold roughly 95-126 kW (about 30 min 10-80%), versus 230-260 kW on 800 V CCS or V4 stalls. A CCS-port car with adapter at a 350 kW CCS site can actually be faster than a native-NACS car on V3.
- Native-NACS Hyundais need the included CCS1 adapter for legacy CCS chargers.
Good to know about Superchargers
- Only Superchargers marked 'open to NACS partners' (V3, V3+ and V4 stalls with the Tesla app 'Charge Your Non-Tesla' flow) are usable by non-Tesla cars. Older V2 stalls are Tesla-only. A small number of V3 'Magic Dock' sites have a built-in CCS1 adapter and work for any CCS1 car regardless of brand agreement.
- V3 and V3+ dispensers run roughly 400-500 V and top out at 250 kW. 800 V-class cars (Hyundai/Kia/Genesis E-GMP, Porsche Taycan/Macan, Audi Q6/A6 e-tron, Lucid, Mercedes CLA, Cadillac Escalade IQ/GMC Hummer/Silverado EV in some modes) charge slower there unless they have an on-board boost converter. V4 cabinets (500 kW, up to 1,000 V) started going live in September 2025 and remove that penalty.
- V3 cables are short and sized for Tesla's rear-left port. Cars with a front or passenger-side port often have to park nose-in or across two stalls. V4 posts have longer cables.
- Adapters: only a DC 'NACS-to-CCS1' adapter approved by the vehicle maker is covered by that maker's warranty; Tesla's app will still let unapproved adapters charge, but the OEM may deny warranty claims. AC 'J1772-to-NACS' adapters are a different product and are irrelevant for Superchargers.
